Jo's Tax & Payroll Co. provides professional tax preparation, payroll processing, bookkeeping, and financial advisory services for individuals and businesses. Specific services are defined in your individual service agreement or engagement letter.
We reserve the right to refuse or discontinue services at our discretion, including in cases where we cannot verify the accuracy of provided information or where services would conflict with applicable professional standards.

We offer flexible payment arrangements for clients who require them. Please speak with us before your file is completed if you anticipate any payment difficulties.
Important: The accuracy of your tax returns, payroll filings, and other documents depends entirely on the accuracy and completeness of the information you provide. We are not responsible for errors or penalties resulting from incorrect, incomplete, or misleading information supplied by you.
You are ultimately responsible for the accuracy of information filed with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) or any other government body on your behalf. We will prepare filings based on information you provide and our professional judgment, but we cannot independently verify all information submitted to us.
If the CRA or another authority reassesses your account based on information you provided to us, any resulting taxes, interest, or penalties are your responsibility.
Our Client Portal allows you to securely upload documents to our office. By using the portal, you agree to:
We are not responsible for any technical failures during file upload. If you do not receive a confirmation email after uploading, please contact us directly to confirm receipt.
We treat all client information as strictly confidential. We will not disclose your personal or financial information to any third party except:
Our confidentiality obligations survive the termination of our service relationship and continue indefinitely.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for the specific service that is the subject of the claim in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.

We reserve the right to immediately terminate services in cases of non-payment, fraud, misrepresentation, or where continuing the relationship would violate applicable professional or legal standards.
These Terms and any disputes arising from our services shall be governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any legal proceedings shall be brought in the courts of Ontario.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms. For significant changes affecting active client relationships, we will provide notice by email.
